New Delhi, Sep 7 (UNI) The Lok Sabha was today adjourned for the third time till 1500 hrs with the BJP-led Opposition continuing to disrupt the House proceedings, demanding constitution of a Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) to go into the Indo-US nuclear deal.

When the House re-assembled at 1400 hrs after the second adjournment, there was no change in the mood of the Opposition whose members rushed to the well of the house, shouting slogans against the government.

Janata Dal (United) Member Prabhunath Singh accused the treasury benches of ''behaving like the Taliban'' as the Opposition members raised slogans.

At this stage, Deputy Speaker Charnjit Singh Atwal adjourned the house till 1500 hrs.

The Opposition had forced early adjournment of the Lok Sabha during the past two days on the same issue.

Demonstrating their determination to persist with the demand for a JPC, in place of the 15-member UPA-Left Panel constituted last week to examine the implications of the US' Hyde Act on India's independent foreign policy and its future weapons programmes, the Opposition members were on their feet when the house began the day's sitting.

When the house re-assembled after the first adjournment, members from the Opposition benches were on their feet, demanding a JPC, but yielded to the request of Lok Sabha Speaker Somnath Chatterjee that they raise their point after the papers were laid on the table of the House by members against whom these were listed.
