Karunanidhi expresses shock over attack on former AP CM

Chennai, Sep 8 (UNI) Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi today expressed shock over the attempt on the life of former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Janardhan Reddy and his wife near Nellore yesterday.

In a letter to Mr Reddy, a copy of which was released to the media here, he said he was greatly relieved to hear that Mr Reddy and his wife had escaped the landmine blast, triggered by Maoist naxals.

''I wish both of you all well'', Mr Karunanidhi said and conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the families of those killed in the blast.
