Islamabad, Sep 8 (UNI) Lebanese government official Saad Hariri -- who is acting as a go-between between the Pakistan government and former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif -- is holding talks with President Pervez Musharraf today, after meeting the exiled leader in London yesterday.

''The meeting between President General Pervez Musharraf and Saad Hariri is going on at Rawalpindi Camp Office. Both are discussing bilateral relations, present situation and other important issues,''official sources said.

Private TV channel Geo TV quoted Railways Minister Shaikh Rasheed Ahmed said that the meeting between President Musharraf and Saad Hariri has ''political significance.'' Saad Hariri, son of former Lebanese prime minister Rafik Hariri, arrived here this morning after meeting with Mr Sharif in London where he conveyed to him a ''significant message'' from Pakistan government.

According to the sources, the government advised the Sharif brothers that Shahbaz Sharif may come back to Pakistan on September 10 but Nawaz Sharif should not return till the holding of presidential election. On the other hand, the Sharif brothers, in their reply, vowed that both the brothers would return to Pakistan on September 10 at any cost.

The son of assassinated former Lebanese Prime Minister Rafik Hariri, Saad Hariri had played an important role in the agreement between the Musharraf government and Sharif brothers under which they were freed from jail.
