Drug peddler gets 12 years imprisonment

Moga, Sep 8 (UNI) A local court sentenced a drug peddler to 12 years of rigorous imprisonment and a fine of Rs 1.25 lakh.

Additional Sessions Judge Amorjot Bhatti sentenced the accused Satnam Singh, a resident of Kishore Singh Wala in Ferozpur district, in a case relating to recovery of 53.20 Kg of poppy husk. He was arrested by police on March 18, 2005.

The judge ruled that if Satnam failed to pay the fine he would further undergo an imprisonment of one and half years.
