TN: Couple held for dowry harassment

Pudukkottai, Sep 8: Police arrested a couple for allegedly harassing a 28-year-old woman, demanding dowry at Kaniyapatti village near here yesterday.

Police said, based on a complaint lodged by Vanitha, wife of Muniappan, they arrested her in-laws--Murugaiyan and Lakshmi.

Police were on the look out for Muniappan and his elder brother Maniraj, who were said to be absconding.

The arrested were remanded in judicial custody, police said.
