AGAOA's experience sharing programme begins on Monday

New Delhi, Sep 8 (UNI) To promote professional understanding and technical cooperation among member institutions, a three-day special 'Experience Sharing Programme' for member countries of the 'Association of Government Accounts Organisations of Asia' (AGAOA) will begin here on Monday.

The programme is being organised by the Institute of Government Accounts&Finance (INGAF), the training arm of the Controller General of Accounts, Ministry of Finance.

It aims to strengthen the process of information sharing in issues related to accounting reforms, internal audit and training needs of the member countries through exchange of ideas and experiences in the fields covered by Government Accounts Organisations to ensure transparency, accountability and good governance.

Its member countries have agreed to collectively foster applied research, training and capacity building initiatives for human resource development and to meet the demands of a modern technology driven accounting and financial environment, a statement said.

India is a founder member of AGAOA along with Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Myanmar and Maldives.
