2 more suspects held in Hyderabad blast case

Hyderabad, Sep 8: Two siblings, with suspected links to terrorist organisations responsible for the August 25 twin blasts in the city, were arrested today at Yadagirigutta, 70 km away from the capital city, in Nalgonda District.

Police said Abdul Mohammad (20) and Abdul Momin (25) were arrested, when they were moving about in suspicious circumstances at a temple in Yadagirigutta this morning.

Police were interrogating the duo, who hailed from the Tolichowki Area, to find out their role in the blasts at Lumbini Park and Gokul Chat Shop, which snuffed out the lives of 44 people.

The Special Investigation Team (SIT), probing the blasts, had already arrested more than 15 people in connection with the case in the last one week.

They were being interrogated to determine their role in the incident and links with the Harkat-ul-Jihadi-Islami (HUJI) Commander Shahed alias Bilal, the suspected mastermind behind the twin blasts and May 18 Mecca Masjid blasts.
