Polls open in Morocco parliamentary elections
RABAT, Sep 7 (Reuters) Moroccans began voting today in parliamentary elections expected to show gains for opposition Islamists promising to clean up corruption in the north African kingdom of 33 million.
Voting stations opened at 0800 GMT in the contest for the 325-member assembly and are due to close at 1900 GMT. Results are expected on Sunday but formation of a new government will only take place after several weeks of talks between political parties and royal palace officials.
