Forex reserves remain unchanged

Mumbai, Sep 7 (UNI) The Country's Forex reserves remained almost unchanged at US dollars 228.847 billion compared to the past week's reserves of 228.849 billion dollars, RBI said in its weekly statistical report today.

Foreign currency assets also remained almost same at 221.509 billion dollars as compared to USD 221.505 billion last week.

India's reserve position in the International Monetary Fund (IMF) stood at USD 455 million.

Aggregate deposits of scheduled commercial banks were reported at Rs 27,43,137 crore during the period and gold reserves stood at USD 6,887 billion.

Foreign currency assets expressed in US dollar terms include the effect of appreciation or depreciation of non-US currencies such as Euro, Sterling, Yen held in reserves, said RBI.
