Ammunition, explosive, recovered in Poonch

Jammu, Sep 7 (UNI) Army today recovered 5.3 kgs of explosive powder besides a large quantity of ammunition from a remote village in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir, a defence spokesman said.

Acting on a specific input, troops of 4 Bihar seized 5.3 kgs explosive, seven RPG ammunition, 760 rounds of Pika gun and a UBGL, hidden under a boulder at Jamiawali Gali in Poonch, said Lt Col S D Goswami.

In another incident, the troops of Rashtriya Rifles recovered 365 rounds of PIKA ammunition at Richh Bagla in Budhal area of bordering Rajouri district while a Chinese pistol, 10 UBGL grenades and four rounds of RPG ammunition were seized from Neda in Surankot, Poonch, he said.
