250 kg explosives seized, 3 held

Lucknow, Sep 7 (UNI) Police have arrested three people from Shankargarh area of Allahabad district and seized 250 kg explosives and 3,000 ft of fuse wire from their possession.

Talking to newspersons here today, Special Secretary (Home) R P Mishra said during checking of vehicles, 250 kg explosives and 3,000 ft of fuse wire were recovered from a jeep.

Madhya Pradesh native Anil Kumar and Allahabad residents Kushal Singh and Ranu alias Ajay were nabbed in this connection.

On interrogation, the accused said they were transporting the explosives to the city from MP for breaking stones.

Investigations were on.
