Woman undertrial escapes from police custody

Pratapgarh, Sep 6 (UNI) Close on the heels of an undertrial serial killer escaping from police custody in Bhadohi, a woman undertrial convalescing in a hospital here, managed to flee from the clutches of police.

According to police, Parmeeta, lodged in the district jail for murder of her nephew, was recuperating in hospital.

She hoodwinked the police this morning and absconded.

Meanwhile, two prison gaurds Ram Gopal and Anita Devi were suspended for dereliction of duty.

A manhunt has been launched to nab her.
