New Delhi, Sept 6 (UNI) A delegation of Shiv Sena MPs, led by party president Uddhav Thackray, will meet Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on September 11 to protest against the ''appeasement policies'' pursued by the UPA government, be it through the ''implementation of the Justice Rajinder Sachar Committee report or re-opening of the Srikrishnna Commission on the 1993 Mumbai riots''.

Former Union Minister and Leader of the Shiv Sena group in Parliament Anant Geete said the Sachar Committee report was sought to be used by the ruling alliance to gain political mileage among minority voters. ''Such kind of divisive politics will push the country dangerously towards another partition.'' The talks of re-opening of the Srikrishna Commission too were intended at gaining political benefits, he added.

The report was once rejected by the previous state government as it served no social purpose and it would mean reviving tension in society, Mr Geete said.

During his visit, Mr Thackeray is likely to meet Leader of the Opposition L K Advani to take stock of the political situation in Maharashtra with regard to the party's relations with the BJP.
