Two arrested for collecting explosive scrap in Kashmir
Srinagar, Sep 6 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir police has arrested two people who were collecting scrap of unexploded and exploded shells in the village adjacent to 21 Field Ordnance Depot at Khandroo which was gutted in a devastating fire on August 11.
A police spokesman said Achabal police arrested Mohammad Amin Shah and Reyaz Ahmad Bhat who were collecting and carrying shells of explosive material from various villages around Khundroo.
A truck carrying the scrap was also seized by the police, he said.
The spokesman said they had collected the scarp lying scattered in the affected villages despite warning by the army, police and civil administration.
