Tayeng stresses development of cooperatives

emphasised
on
the
need
for
qualitative
development
of
cooperative
societies
through
human
resources
development.
The zonal conference of Junior Cooperative Training Centres of North East Region organised jointly by the National Cooperative Union of India (NCUI) and National Council for Cooperative Training (NCCT), New Delhi at Udyog Sadan here yesterday.
Inaugurating the conference, Mr Tayeng urged both NCUI and NCCT to provide best possible assistance for curriculum and infrastructural development at the Cooperative Training Centre in Naharlagun under state cooperative union.
He also urged for cent per cent reimbursement on the expenditure for the centrally sponsored scheme of NCCT for the cooperatively underdeveloped state and other north eastern states.
He also highlighted the state's topography with varied tribes and cultures, which could achieve development and improve the standard of living conditions of the people through various facilities from departments and ministries under the Centre. There are about 500 cooperative societies in the state.
Mr Tayeng also requested the NCUI and NCCT to include programmes like field visit of trainees to the state, deployment of faculties from ICM to JCTCs for free training and sanction post of extension inspectors at 16 districts in the state.
