Speaking to newsmen here last night, ACP Ramachandra Rao said D Raju was found murdered in his house here on September four.
Raju whose family included his wife, four sons and a daughter, had illicit relationship with a woman in Peduguralla in Guntur Distrct. His family members suspected all his earnings were going to his paramour, the ACP said.
On the fateful day, Raju chided his son Sumanth for not going to work.
An irate Sumanth hit his father with a sharp weapon on his head while he was sleeping, the ACP said.
Police suspect the victim's family members also aided Sumanth in the murder.
