Raj Governor for proper use of technology to curb desertification

Jaipur, Sep 6 (UNI) Rajasthan Governor Shilendra Kumar Singh today stressed the need for effective use of technology to control the process of desertification in the state.

Talking to reporters here, soon after his swearing in ceremony, Mr Singh said that scarcity of water was the major challenge in this desert state.

He said that effective measures for conservation and augumentation of water sources and proper use of technology could curb the process of desertification.

The governor expressed satisfaction over the pace of development in the state and said that the state was doing well. He added that commendable achievements in area of information technology had been made.

He assured that he would discharge his duties in accordance to constitutional provisions and conventions.
