Racket on betting on sixth India-England one dayer busted

New Delhi, Sep 6 (UNI) The Delhi Police have busted a racket related to betting on the sixth cricket one dayer between India and England with arrest of a bookie Virender Kumar Jain from Chandni Chowk.

Vijender Jain was arrested from his house in Chandni Chowk yesterday while he was indulging in betting on the cricket one dayer between India and England through TV and mobile phones.

A case against Jain has been lodged at Chandni Chowk police station under the Gambling Act.

Further investigation is on to ascertain involvement of other bookies and verification of identities of the residential addresses and mobile phones of the involved persons.
