Officers engaged in flood work seek security

Patna, Sep 6 (UNI) The Bihar Administrative Service Association (BASA) today demanded security to its officers, engaged in the flood relief operation.

President of the association Krishan Murari Sharma and its general secretary Vipin Kumar Sinha said here that the decision to demand security was taken in an emergent meeting of the BASA.

The association expressed concern over the threat, given to the Block Development Officers deployed in Muzaffarpur and West Champaran districts for distribution of relief materials.

Mr Sharma and Mr Sinha said apart from bodyguard additional police force should be deployed.

The Association also demanded the government to direct the police Superintendents for providing proper security cover to the officers.
