NCP ridicules Munde, Somaiya for targetting Pawar

Mumbai, Sep 6 (UNI) NCP spokesman Madan Bafna today ridiculed the allegations made by BJP general secretary Gopinath Munde and former MP Kirit Somaiya against Union Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar over the so-called 'Wheat scam'.

''Mr Pawar himself has cleared all the issues and answered the queries and now there is no point in raising these issues,'' Mr Bafna told reporters here today.

He said the figures in scam, as alleged by BJP leaders, keep on changing from Rs 500 crore to Rs 3,000 crore. So before making any allegations, the BJP leaders should get the facts correctly.

When asked whether Congress is also targetting Mr Pawar, as the Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) chief had also raised the issue about wheat import, Mr Bafna declined it, saying Congress was not targetting the Union Agriculture Minister.
