Maruti to unveil new models in next 2 yrs

Maruti

will
launch
new
models
for
two
consecutive
years,
company's
Managing
Director
Jagdish
Khattar
said.
The company's AGM met here today and has decided not to revise exports target for the current year, Mr Khattat said, adding that it will launch a model every year for two consecutive years.
''We are selling in many markets right now. We started our international operation two year back in non-European countries,'' he said.
''I went around myself to convince them, they are following Maruti's way of sales now. Zen, Estello has emerged as the market leaders in the Indonesian market.'' The company is selling about 1,000-1,200 units of Zen, Estello and 800 units of Alto per month in the Indonesian market.
It has also ventured into Algeria, Sri Lanka, Chilly, Saudi Arabia and Egypt.
Maruti Udyog is currently selling 7,000 units in Chilly. It also ventured in the UAE market recently.
Mr Khattar also said that the company will export diesel engine to Hungary.
On
the
rupee
appreciation
part,
he
said,
''it
has
impacted
our
revenues
but
it
has
being
neutralised
to
a
quiet
extend
by
imports.''
