Kasturirangan bags Theodore Von Karman Award
Bangalore, Sep 6 (UNI) Renowned Space Scientist K Kasturirangan, MP, has been chosen for the most prestigious Theodore Von Karman Award of the International Academy of Astronautics (IAA), Paris, for 2007, for his contribution to the Indian Space Programmes.
In a release here today, ISRO said the award, one of the highest distinctions of the IAA, is given to recognise the outstanding lifetime achievements of any scientist in any branch of science.
The award would be presented to Dr Kasturirangan on September 23 in Hyderabad at the Academy Day dinner, during the 58th International Astronautical Congress, organised jointly by the International Astronautical Federation, IAA and International Institute of Space Law.
