India's first ever VF triplet delivers in Nagaland
Kohima, Sep 6 (UNI) The first ever Vitro Fertilization (VF) triplet of the country was delivered in a Dimapur nursing home yesterday and the mother and babies are doing well.
Dr P C Sharma, who was in-charge of pre-natal and post-natal care of the babies, told reporters that among the triplet-a female and two males--are doing well.
One Ranjana delivered the triplet through Lower Sectment Caesarean Process carried out by a three-member team of doctors.
Babies were weighed between 1.4 to 1.5 Kg at the time of delivery.
Dr Sharma said enough care had been taken for the mother and babies as it is a rare case in the medical history.
