Indian defence college team meets PM Koirala
Kathmandu, Sep 6 (UNI) A 16-member panel of National Defence College of India has paid a courtesy call on Nepalese Prime Minister and Defence Minister Girija Prasad Koirala at Baluwatar.
The panel of officials form National Defence College, Delhi which is on study visit to Nepal, comprises Panel Chief Ashok Kumar Gupta and other officials from India.
In addition to the Indian officials, the team also consists of officials of Sri Lankan Navy, Afghan National Army and Vietnam National Army.
On the occasion, Prime Minister Koirala extended sincere appreciation to the support provided by India and other neighbouring countries to restore democracy in Nepal, informed Ramesh Jung Thapa, Prime Minister's Defense Advisor.
Stating that the preparations for Constituent Assembly in Nepal were on, Prime Minister Koirala shed light on the entire cooperation of the Nepali Army to the government.
The government would pay attention to the reforms and advancement of the Nepali Army, advisor Thapa quoted Prime Minister as saying and highlighted the significant assistance in the form of scholarships provided by the National Defence College in enhancing the efficiency of the Nepal Army.
