ICICI Bank, CUB in pact for money transfer

Chennai, Sep 6: ICICI Bank today announced a tie up with the more than century-old City Union Bank (CUB) to offer the convenience of its proprietary online platform, Money2India (M2I), to CUB customers.

This tie-up will enable Non-Resident Indian (NRI) customers of CUB to seamlessly transfer funds to CUB beneficiaries in India.

''An NRI remitter can transact on M2I using the correspondent banking channel and track the status of funds online.

''NRI remitters have to simply complete a one-time registration on M2I and select the country of stay or the product of his/her choice.

''Besides electronic funds transfer to CUB accounts, the remitter can also request for issuance of a demand draft payable at over 2,300 locations in India,'' a release here said.

This service will be made available to CUB NRI customers across US, Europe, UK, Singapore , Hong Kong, Canada, Australia and UAE.
