Division Bench stays single judge order on syllabus change

Kochi, Sep 6 (UNI) A Division Bench of the Kerala High Court today stayed the single judge order, which interdicted the State government from changing the 11th standard syllabus.

The Bench comprising Chief Justice H L Dutta and Justice K T Sankaran passed the interim order in writ appeal filed the government challenging the single judge order of last month.

The order explained that the government was trying to borrow the NCERT syllabus for Physics, Chemistry, Math, Botany, Zoology, Geography, Economics amd Political Science and introduce it at government schools in the State.

'' This has been done with the soul intention to bring about better prospects to the students,'' the court said.
