Couple suffer burn injuries in Kangra district

Dharamshala, Sept 6 (UNI) A couple in Nagrota Bagwan town in Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh suffered serious burn injuries in their kitchen early today, police sources said.

Bindoo, 32, received more than 30 per cent burn injuries, while her husband Rajender received 15 per cent injuries after a kerosene oil tin spilled over and caught fire while they were preparing their breakfast.

The sources said the couple were admitted to Dr R P Government Medical College and Hospital here where the doctors described their condition stable. A case has been registered and investigations are on, they added.

Meanwhile, a class three girl was reportedly molested by a minor boy in Chokta village of the district today when she was on her way to school, police sources said.

The victim was on way to her school when the boy molested her, the sources said, adding that a case was registered against the boy following a complaint by her parents who were informed about the incident by the victim.

The sources said a case under Sections 354 and 341 of the IPC had been registered. But the boy was released on bail since he was a minor.
