Cognizant looking for acquisition in consulting space

Bangalore, Sep 6 (UNI) Cognizant Technology Solutions, provides IT solutions to complex software development is looking for acquisitions in consulting space in Europe and the United States and other geographies CEO Lakshmi Narayanan said today.

Speaking to newspersons on the sidelines of NASSCOM Quality Summit that began here today, he said that the company was looking for specific opportunity in consulting end where it did not have operating presence.

"We are looking out for consulting firms in the Europe and the US.

I can't say whether we have zeroed in on any one particularly but it will happen," he said.

Mr Narayanan said Cognizant would add 9000 people in India by December to take its total head count to 55,000. It would also be making 300 million dollars for creating infrastructure and workspace in tier I and tier II cities, he added.
