Cabinet okays Bill to help workers in unorganised sector
New Delhi, Sep 6 (UNI) To facilitate workers in the unorganised sector, the Union Cabinet today approved the revised 'Unorganised Sector Workers' Social Security Bill, 2007, that will be placed before Parliament.
The proposal would facilitate formulation of social security schemes for the unorganised sector workers, Information and Broadcasting Minister Priya Ranjan Dasmunsi told reporters after the Cabinet meeting.
Other decisions that were taken by the Cabinet included signing the bilateral cooperation agreement between India and Mongolia in the field of health and medical science for a period of three years.
The agreement will facilitate cooperation between the two countries in the field of health and medical science on the basis of equality, reciprocity and mutual benefit.
The Cabinet also approved signing of a bilateral investment promotion and protection agreement with Uruguay and the ratification thereof. The agreement will increase investment flow between the two countries, Mr Dasmunsi said.
