Body of Nithari murder petitioner found dead

Berhampore, Sep 6 (UNI) Body of one Jatin Sarkar, father of one of the victims in the Nithari serial killings, was recovered from a river in West Bengal's Murshidabad district.

Superintendent of Police Rahul Srivastava said here today that the body was recovered on September one and post-mortem reports stated that the death was due to drowning.

Sarkar, whose body was found, had filed a petition in the court of Special CBI Judge Sapna Mishra in Ghaziabad on April 28 seeking reinvestigation of the case.

The parents of Payal (22) and Pinki Sarkar (14) had collectively filed the case.

At least 17 human skulls and bones were dug-up in the Nithari murder case from near the house of the prime accused Maninder Singh Pandher, in the Noida's Sector on the outskirts of New Delhi last year.
