1 killed, couple hurt as dacoits strike house

Hyderabad, Sep 6 (UNI) One person was killed and a couple injured when dacoits attacked a house in Shamshabad on the outskirts of the city at midnight last night.

According to police, seven dacoits attacked a couple severely injuring the woman, Padma, seeking information on valuables in the house.

Listening to the cries, Shivakumar, who was sleeping in a vehicle outside the house, chased and caught one of the dacoits.

The miscreants stabbed him and fled. This morning, Shivakumar succumbed to his injuries at the Osmania General Hospital where the couple was also admitted for treatment.
