Hyderabad, Sept 5: The Special Investigation Team (SIT), probing the August 25 twin blasts here, has arrested a Bangladeshi national, suspected to have planted bomb at Lumbini Park where ten people were killed and 50 injured.

According to police sources here today, SIT police arrested Rizwan Ghazi yesterday, from a hideout in Bangalore. He was absconding ever since his name figured in the blasts case.

The breakthrough came when the cops seized the driving licence of Ghazi, the image on which closely resembled the sketch released by the police recently.

Based on the information of his sister Shafia Rafsanjani, who was arrested recently, police raided the hideout and arrested the 'bomb planter.' Police also seized some incriminating material, two bags, iron balls and telephone numbers of some Bangladeshi contacts.

Ghazi had once escaped from the police net when they raided the house in which he was living with his sister. Rafsanjani was arrested on the same day in the city.

However, top officials were not ready to divulge any information regarding the progress of investigation.

Police have concluded that HuJI South India Commander Shahid alias Bilal, operating terrorist activities from Bangladesh, was the mastermind behind the blasts.
