Empathy Foundation to build Rs 2 cr educational complex
Kolhapur, Sep 5 (UNI) Chennai-based Empathy Foundation will build an educational complex, the Jawahar Navoday School, in Kagal tehsil of the district at an estimated cost of Rs 2 crore.
Talking to reporters here today, District Collector Pravin Darade, who is the chairman of the school, said the administration today signed an agreement with Empathy Foundation's trustees Shantibhai and Hasmukhbhai.
Union Human Resources Ministery has granted permission for this project, he said and added that the highlight of this project includes new building for school, teaching equipment and computer facilities.
Both the trustee, who were present at the press meet, said the Foundation is engaged in undertaking various charitable projects, with an objective to help the society in general and particularly, the poor and needy people. Its aims to work in the educational field in rural Maharashtra.
