UP: 3 cops arrested as serial killer escapes

Lucknow, Sep 6: Three police personnel were arrested tonight in Varanasi in connection with the escape of an undertrial serial killer Salim Qureshi in Bhadoi, whose gang was allegedly responsible for at least 250 killings on Uttar Pradesh highways.

Salim, the kingpin of the gang of 35 serial killer cabbies, hoodwinked the police earlier today while being taken from Meerut to Varanasi for a court hearing by the New Delhi-Varanasi Kashi Vishwanath Express.

Three constables Gyan Singh, Khem Chand and Raj Bahadur were arrested by the GRP.
