TDP making false allegations against CM:CLP

Hyderabad, Sep 4 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Congress Legislature Party (CLP) today said the people would ''teach the Telugu Desam Party a lesson''for making false allegations against Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy and the state government, in the coming elections.

Addressing a press conference here, Government Chief Whip N Kiran Kumar Reddy alleged that the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) President N Chandrababu Naidu and other senior party leaders were making the allegations without verifying the facts.

He said the TDP's main agenda was to ''malign'' the Chief Minister and the government as they could not digest the developmental activities taken up by the state government.

Mr Reddy said the people would not believe the TDP's ''gimmicks'' and would teach them a lesson at the appropriate time.

He alleged that the TDP had totally failed to act as a constructive opposition in the state. ''In the next elections, they would definitely lose their recognition as the main opposition'' he added.
