Polls will solve Nepal's problems: Abhishek Manu Singhvi

Kathmandu, Sep 4 (UNI) Congress leader Dr Abhishek Manu Singhvi has said that Nepal can solve all its problems through the Constituent Assembly elections, media reports said.

"The Constituent Assembly is the only forum which can lead to a republican set-up, a constitutional monarchy or which ever system the people want," The Himalayan Times quoted Mr Singhvi as saying in Kathmandu.

The polls are scheduled for November 22 that will be crucial to write a new constitution for the first time by elected representatives.

Monarchy has been suspended in the new interim constitution and the new constitution to be drafted will also decide the future of the 240-year-old defamed institution of Nepal.

UNI
