Patwari arrested for taking bribe

Chandigarh, Sept 4 (UNI) Haryana State Vigilance Bureau has arrested a Patwari of Jaitpur Jatwara village of Jhajjar district for accepting bribe.

While stating this here today, a spokesman of the Bureau said that Jai Pal was caught red handed while accepting illegal gratification of Rs 4000 from Mahesh Kumar, a resident of Dadritoy of Jhajjar district, in lieu of making mutation entry and issue a copy of it.

The spokesman of the Bureau said that a case had been registered against the accused under section 7/13 of the Prevention of Corruption Act in the Bureau's Police Station at Rohtak. He said that further investigation of the case was in progress.
