FAPCCI invites entries for award

Hyderabad, Sep 4 (UNI) Federation of Andhra Pradesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FAPCCI) President A Subba Rao today said FAPCCI was inviting entries from the industries, including IT and agriculture sectors, to confer awards on the meritorious companies for 2006-07.

Talkng to newspersons here, Mr Rao said 20 awards would be presented to companies in recognition of their excellence and contribution to various aspects of trade and industrial activity.

Stating that Silver Rolling Trophies would be awarded to the companies and cash awards to individuals, he said Dalchand Agarwal for Excellence in Product Innovation (Small Scale Industry) would also be given from this year.

Last year, 90 companies had sent their entries for the award, Mr Rao said adding more than 200 companies would be vying for the awards this year.
