BSP MP booked for murder

Jaunpur, Sep 4 (UNI) A Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) MP has been booked for murder of a Gram Pradhan in this district of Uttar Pradesh.

On August 24, Gram Pradhan Shyam Kanhaiyya Yadav was attacked after a dispute regarding the management committee of a college in Japtapur village of Saraikhvaja area snowballed.

The critically wounded gram pradhan was rushed to hospital, where he succumbed yesterday, police said today.

BSP MP from Machlishahr constitunecy area Umakant Yadav has been booked with five others, identified as Chandrashekhar, Shastrajeet, Surendra, Rajdev and Gilajeet, accused in the crime.

The MP is presently behind the bars in Azamgarh district jail for another crime.
