Blast accused undergoes narco test

Bangalore, Sep 4 (UNI) Forensic experts today carried out narco analysis test on one of the two suspects arrested in connection with the August 25 twin-blasts, that claimed 44 lives and left several injured, in Hyderabad.

They were brought to the city by the Andhra Pradesh police yesterday.

Top police sources confirmed that Imran Khan, one of the accused, was subjected to the narco test for nearly four hours at Bowring Hospital by the Forensic Science Laboratory experts. The other accused Kaleem would be subjected to the test tomorrow.

Polygraph tests had been conducted on both of them yesterday.

Imran was alleged to have close contacts with HUJI leader Shahed alias Bilal, the main suspect in the twin blasts. Imran is believed to have revealed vital information during the test.

Joint Commissioner of Police Gopal B Hosur, meanwhile, today denied that the city police had made any arrest in connection with the blasts.

Reports had said the police arrested two people including a Bangladeshi woman here yesterday.

Earlier, Home Minister M P Prakash told reporters that details of the investigation in the city with regard to the Hyderabad blasts could not be revealed and secrecy had to be maintained until the police obtained conclusive evidences on the people involved in the crime.

Three investigation teams from AP were in the city to conduct joint investigation into the blast case.
