UP: 2 witnesses returning after giving testimony killed

Lucknow, Sep 4: Two witnesses, returning after recording testimony in a court, were allegedly hit by a speeding jeep and later bludgeoned to death in Mahamaya Nagar of Hathras district.

Police said today motorcycle-borne Puran Chandra, Dal Chand and Priyanka, were mowed down by a jeep yesterday.

Puran and Dal Chand were also attacked with an iron rod, killing the latter on the spot.

While, Puran succumbed later, Priyanka had been admitted to hospital.

Investigation was on and three persons have been arrested in this regard.
