Rupee opens flat at 40.88/90 per dollar

Mumbai, Sep 3: Rupee opened flat at 40.88/90 per dollar as compared to the previous close and showed a steady mood in the morning session.

The unit had closed at 40.87/88 per dollar on Friday, gaining nearly by 29 paise from its last close.

According to the market watchers, Rupee is likely to gain in the late day trade provided strong inflows in domestic equities.

During the intra-day, Rupee touched a low of 40.95 and a high of 40.84 and is currently (1215 hrs) trading at 40.88/90 per dollar.
