Motorcyclist killed in accident

Barrackpore, Sep 03 (UNI) A motorcyclist was killed in a road accident on VIP Road under Lake Town police station in North 24 Parganas district today.

Police said the victim, a resident of Jagatpur of Baguiati, died on the spot.

The driver, however, fled the spot soon after the incident.

Local people put up a road blockade on the VIP Road for an hour.
