Militant among 4 killed in J and K

Srinagar, Sep 3 (UNI) A militant was among four people killed in Jammu and Kashmir overnight, official sources said.

They said troops recovered a decomposed body of a militant in Katwari Forest. One AK Rifle, one AK magazine, 9 rounds of AK ammunitions, one RS Kenwood and two Chinese grenades were also recovered near the body.

The sources said the body of a ninth class student Hilal Ahmad Ganie was recovered from an orchard at village Saidpora in Shopian district.

A report from Jammu said two teenagers, including a girl, were killed in an explosion in a field at Bani in Kathua district.

The deceased identified as Pappu (13) and Champa Rani (16) were playing in the field when the explosion occurred in Baljedi village, police informed. They died on the spot.

The cause of the blast was being ascertained.
