Manipuri youth commits suicide in hotel

Varanasi, Sep 3 (UNI) A youth from Manipur allegedly committed suicide at a hotel in Sigra area here today by hanging himself.

Krishna Kumar Singh (22), a native of Vishnupur district of Manipur, who had come to the city to appear in an SSB exam, committed suicide at his hotel room in Englishia Line area by hanging himself through the room ventillator, police said.

A suicide note in English, Rs 4,000 in cash and other belongings were recovered from the room, police added.

The youth's family has been informed about the incident and the body sent for post-mortem.

The youth had checked into the hotel yesterday and later appeared in the SSB exam at the Banaras Hindu University (BHU).
