LDF against Muslim interests: IUML chief
Chennai, Sep 3 (UNI) Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) President G M Banatwala today charged the ruling LDF in Kerala with ''flagrant violation'' of minoritiy rights and acting against the interests of Muslims.
Talking to newspersons here, Mr Banatwala said an unanimous resolution, condemning LDF Government's stand, was adopted at the party's National Executive meeting here yesterday.
Referring to the Self-financing Colleges Act and the LDF Government's education policy, he said the proposed amendment to the Kerala Education Rules posed a threat to the very existence of the private educational institutions run by minorities.
Mr Banatwala also alleged the LDF Government was propagating Communist ideology using the education sector as a tool and by effecting revision of text books.
