Five kg RDX, 12 grenades recovered in JK

Jammu, Sep 3: Security forces have unearthed five kg RDX explosive besides a large quantity of other ammunition hidden by militants in a remote village of Jammu and Kashmir's Reasi district, intelligence sources said today.

Acting on a tip-off, a joint team of police and 54 Rashtriya Rifles recovered five kg of RDX, 12 Chinese hand grenades, four RPG ammunition, a Chinese pistol, one magazine and 12 cartridges from Gan village in Pouni block of Reasi yesterday, sources said.

A large quantity of other explosive manufacturing material was also recovered from the site, the sources informed.
