Blast could be a ploy to disturb polls: Ministry
Kathmandu, Sept 3:The Nepal Government has put security personnel on high alert and said the blasts that killed at least two persons and injured 26 could be a ploy to disturb polls.
The Home Ministry said in a statement said ''that the incident could have been ''carried out as a serious conspiracy to disrupt the upcoming Constituent Assembly elections.'' The statement added that a serious investigation is underway against the planners of the attack and requested all to support in this regard.
The Ministry has also informed that the local administration have already been directed to make proper arrangements for the treatment of the injured ones.
The ministry has also urged the people to exercise restraint.
Nepal is holding polls for the Constituent Assembly on November 22 that will decide the future course of the nation and write a new democratic constitution for the first time in the history of the Himalayan nation.
