Birla Cement's production up by 7.32 per cent

Mumbai, Sep 3 (UNI) Cement major Aditya Birla Group's cement production has moved up by 7.32 per cent for the period April-August 2007 at 128.02 lakh metric tonnes as against 119.29 lakh mt in the corresponding period of the previous year.

The dispatches grew by 6.88 per cent at 127.32 lakh mt for the same period as compared to 119.13 mt in the corresponding period of the last year, the company statement said here today.

The company said its cement production for August stood at 23.77 lakh mt and 23.60 lakh mt, registering a growth of 17.10 per cent and 12.25 per cent over the samr period last year.
