Three killed, two hurt in Udhampur car accident

Jammu, Sept 2 (UNI) At least three people were killed and two seriously injured in a car accident at Chenani, in Udhampur district of Jammu and Kashmir early today, police said.

The driver of the vehicle lost control and the car rolled down into a deep gorge at Dramthal, four kilometer short of its destination, the police said.

The victims who were on their way to Chanani from Udhampur were immediately shifted to the nearby Civil Hospital where Niranjan Singh, Rohit Sharma and Anil Kumar Chandel, all residents of Jammu, were declared brought dead.

However, seriously injured Vinod Kumar and Vineet Mahajan were shifted to Government Medical College And Hospital, Jammu.
